What is ISO 9001?
ISO 9001 is a series of international standards establishing global requirements for quality management systems. It is a management framework used to define a company's processes and provides for a consistent approach to the production of products or services in order to meet an acceptable level of quality.

These standards were first published in 1987 by a technical committee of the International Organization for Standardization. They were developed to provide countries worldwide with a universal baseline for defining quality expectations, which would eliminate confusion and facilitate international trade.

The ISO 9001 series is unique in that it can be adopted by a broad range of companies and industries, including both manufacturers of products and service providers.

QUALITY STANDARDS

ISTA package certified for Procedure 3A-Standard

Quality of packaging ISTA compliant packaging

"The objective of the INTERNATIONAL SAFE TRANSIT ASSOCIATION (ISTA) is to reduce in-transit damage through a standardized programmed of pre-shipment testing".

The main test is a drop test: weight (packed product), height and velocity are the critical components.

The packed-product is drop tested on all sides, top, bottom, 4 corners, and flat on all faces.

After testing the product must be free from damage, and the box must give enough protection to the cartridge.
